Pastor Lamont Allen Higginbottom
Rev. Higginbottom is a proud graduate of The American Baptist College in Nashville, TN where he successfully obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Pastoral Studies. As a sophomore in college Lamont was elected Class and Baptist Student Union President.
Lamont moved to Rochester, NY in August of 2013 to obtain his Master of Arts Degree at the Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, He served as president of the Historic Black Student Caucus of CRCDS. Rev. Higginbottom Graduated from Colgate May 2016. Rev. Higginbottom participates in annual continuing education summer courses through Yale Divinity School.
Lamont Higginbottom was asked to serve as pulpit supply to the West Ave. United Methodist Church of Rochester, NY in June 2015, as a result of excellent service Rev. Higginbottom was appointed to the Trinity UM Church of Olean, NY in July 2015 by order of Bishop Mark J. Webb. Rev. Lamont Higginbottom was accepted on his Baptist Ordination.
On Nov. 7th 2016 Reverend Lamont Higginbottom was called to serve as the fifth Pastor of the Historic Second Baptist Church of Erie, PA. Under the leadership of Rev. Lamont Higginbottom, Second Baptist has experienced much growth. Upon arriving to Erie, PA Pastor Lamont Higginbottom connected with the community and shared in the community service work already in motion at the Second Baptist Church. From facility renovations to spiritual, financial and numerical growth, The Second Baptist Church and Pastor Higginbottom are consistently and effectively growing together as Pastor and People.
On April 12th, 2023, God graciously called Rev. LaMont Higginbottom to be the 6th Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Glenwood, IL. Calvary Baptist Church received Pastor and Lady Higginbottom and their family with open arms and hearts filled with love.
